When I was a kid my cousin and I visited a little neighbor of hers and she was showing us a jar of leeches her dad had, I assume it was for fishing, and the two of us went screaming down the street. Little girl shrieks.
We still laugh at our terror.

Try pulling them off of your body when they have latched on. Yuck! Happened to me a few times swimming in the creeks around my grandfather’s farm.

A toast to SD! A wonderful soul.

We swam in the Brandywine creek in southeastern PA, and when I got out the leeches were all over me (I was a kid). No river swimming ever, ever again. Give me salt water please!

Hey, CE! How are you doing? Our paths don’t cross that much these days.

Hey DrDick! I’m swimming with 6 new graduate students who are superior! Major power outage last night, and finally staying at MsCE’s place. We are opening new parts of the museum.

And even with power, I’m finding it so hard to stay up past 1:30 a.m. Getting old!

Sounds like things are going pretty well overall. Must be exciting opening new areas of the museum.

I rarely make it past 10:00 any more. Of course I also get up at 6:00am.

It is really exciting. After being closed for years and years, we are opening two new galleries in December. I’ll send PR soon. So great to see you. Cheers my friend. I am mourning the loss of SD.
