Donald Trump Wants to be President, Says: No Same Sex Marriage Equality, No Civil Benefits for Same-Sex Couples

Testing the waters for a presidential bid,  inhuman-haired, billionaire reality TV celebrity real estate mogul  Donald Trump who spoke at February’s CPAC told the Des Moines Register  that he plans to take a trip to Iowa shortly. If he runs, he’ll

meet many, many people — maybe all of the people. If I decide to run, I will be shaking hands with everybody.

The hyperbolic Trump–whose Miss USA Pageant was at the center of LGBT rights in 2009 over runner-up’s Carrie Prejean’s outspoken opposition to civil marriage equality–told the Des Moines Register he shares the former Miss California’s views. The Des Moines Register reports:

Asked whether he supports allowing same-sex couples to marry, Trump said no. Iowa conservatives have overwhelmingly opposed the 2009 Iowa Supreme Court decision overturning the state’s ban on gay marriage.

“They should not be able to marry,” he said. But asked whether gay couples should be able access the same benefits as married couples, he said his “attitude on it has not been fully formed.”

Given a second to think, Trump said on marriage and civil benefits, “As of this moment, I would say no and no.”

In 2009 Iowa Supreme Court  overturned the state’s ban on gay marriage, a move naturally still vehemently opposed by conservatives who Trump would be courting for the GOP nomination. Like the others sniffing around for a slot, Trump is pro-gun and anti-abortion. And like Newt Gingrich, he’s also divorced. And a jerk.

How many marriages has this muskrat-on-man put wives through?

And who is a slumlord eviction specialist and gambler-enabler to lecture me on my morality?

Eff him.

By which I mean, of course: Run, Donald, run. You and your muskrat.

Trump must have, after nearly forty years of grifting, finally worn out his credit line with the titans of Wall Street, and so now is fishing for dollars among the well-heeled portions of the Mormon and Fundie sets.

Beware the faux political campaign. Wonder if the banksters paid him much for that repulsive TV show Trump hosted? “Rich” people just hate it when they discover that their wealth only exists on paper.
