For St. Patrick’s Day: The St. Patrick’s Battalion

Lisa, I have the Chieftains’ “San Patricio” on hold at B&N (til payday), and our local npr station is running it as a St. Paddy’s Day special tonight (south central Texas). Surprised you didn’t mention the connection. Or is this from the album? I know it has several “guest” artists, including Liam Neeson doing the spoken intro.
It’s a very interesting story, with special interest to many in this area.
Did you know there is a San Patricio County along the Texas border, settled by Irish immigrants?
