Barbara Walters has been teasing her 20/20 interview with Sarah Palin. The former Alaska governor seems more folksy with Babawawa than she did with Oprah, and conversely less comfortable. Guess the homespum affect is her default mode for hedging. Speaking of hedging, she relies on

a phrase she used on Oprah when confronted with a surprise query. This time it popped out when Walters asked if Palin felt she and Todd had failed as parents when Bristol turned up pregnant. Oh and she didn’t know Bristol was sexually active and says Levi had only been in their living room once before he helped Bristol announce the impending blessed event–a direct contradiction to his claims that he stayed at the Palins’ quite a bit.

BTW, Palin says she’s not against birth control!  Wait, wut? And had she known that a photo form her Runners’ World photo shoot would end up on the cover of Newsweek, she would have never agreed to doing an interview with them. Uh, Sarah, there are these things called “releases” you sign…

Heres’ the high-larity: Walters asks her about having a talk show and Palin responds:

I’d probably rather write than talk!

Which is pretty funny because she had a ghost writer on Going Rogue!

She rates Barack Obama as 4 on his performance, citing economic and national security issues, and hopes one day he might do something that warrants a Nobel prize. And she doesn’t discount running for President, but like she said on Oprah–and you’ll hear some of the same exact phrases with Walters that she used on Oprah
