If you think of it as a disease,it is spreading. Look at what happened in Mexico and our border areas. It’s the Bush family plan.

It is hard for girls whose fathers are really quite OK with that, but I think it must be common. Men seem to care a lot more about the ‘male prerogative’ then they do about the well being of their wives and daughters.

Cheney spawn is friends with Mika. Morning Joe should have her, Jeffrey Sharlet and Max Blumenthal all on together to discuss the issue. I would love to see those two guys be able to freely question her.

As other commentators have elegantly pointed out, alleged criminal behavior by a company and/or its employees, by definition, is outside the scope of employment and should not be held to be within the scope of matters covered by mandatory employee arbitration clauses. (I would ban them altogether, as an abusive practice owing to the employer’s overwhelming superiority in power.)

Arbitration keeps employer wrongs secret from other employees, the public, customers, suppliers and the government. Where those wrongs are criminal, the state has an inherent interest to protect – which ought to require that it not enforce such clauses where the behavior complained of is criminal. Rape by co-employees and obstruction of justice by the employer is merely a startling example.

The US is well within its rights to determine with whom it will contract and on what terms. The corporatists among these 30 senators are just doing their duty – obeying the dictates of their corporate patrons. That they have a primary duty as legislators to uphold the law and to protect the common weal likely never crossed their minds.
