I’d excitedly set my TiVo to catch Tom DeLay make his lightfooted debut on "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, September 21. But now Tom’s terpsichorean triumph may be, um delayed because of stress fracture in his foot. The toe tapper tweeted:
But then he waffled and recanted in a later tweet, saying
No stress fracture. It’s a pre-stress fracture. I live for another day.
I am breathless in anticipation….
I hope he’s OK for the rehearsals and the contest. It would be a terrible shame if he entered prison without a skill.

I was sure that “Dancing with the Stars” was Sarah Palin’s next stepping stone in her career.
Though, I guess they would have to rename the show “Dancing with the Black Holes” or “Dancing with the Dunces” or something like that.
With so many compelling reasons to avoid watching ABC, Tom DeLay is just the icing on the cake. Must-miss TV.
I want to see him make a fool of himself at least once. I agree with you ratfood. I usually avoid ABC as well.
I’ve lost count of the number of right-wing extremists we could ask that question about.
I guess the case against him fell apart. Well, at least it got him out of congress.
But ABC offers so much… bad reality shows, bad scripted shows, bad news shows, etc..
And it’s all owned by Disney. Even as a little kid I didn’t like Disney; scared the sh*t out of me, most of them. Then we took our son to Disney World when he was 4. Hated that too.* Then I found out about Disney’s politics. All-in-all, quite a losing combination.
*My favorite one-liner was waiting at the mini-train station for the mini-train. There was a squirrel on the tracks. I outlouded: Of my god, there’s a squirrel on the tracks. It’s a real squirrel. It’s the only thing that’s real in all of Disney World.
I loved Peter, Paul and Mary, and so did my students just last year.

OK, if no one else has asked. What in the world is a pre-stress fracture? It sounds like some jazzy way to say his foot hurts. How many of us have had pre-stress fractures (in both feet) after a long day of doing whatever?
I wonder if everything about Delay is premature?
Why isn’t this Racist Nazi Traitor in Jail instead of being rewarded with a national we forgive you show. The only thing good coming out of this is… Myself I am watching the sponsors and as soon as they are identifies I am boycotting them.

Delay should know better than to continually stick both feet into his mouth. He’s pretty much lived his entire life with at least one of his feet in his pie-hole, but even his gaping yaw couldn’t take the second one in there too. That’s what happened.
