You kinda gotta wonder who is coat-tailing who: Levi Johnson escorted comedienne Kathy Griffin–who has created a successful career by complaining that she’s not famous as her way to get get famous–to the Teen Choice Awards.

Access Hollywood asked 19-year old Johnson, the father of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin’s only grandchild, why he decided to come with Griffin. Ever the gentleman, Levi replied:

She’s beautiful and funny. She’s the star of the night.

Griffin’s response?

Miley, try to top this!

I wonder if  Levi dished any Palin dirt to Griffin and if Levi or his in-laws are gonna turn up in any of her routines?

Griffin’s most famous date since her divorce from husband Matt (who  allegedly stole money, supposedly sneaking into her wallet early in the morning and taking her ATM card, withdrawing a total of $72,000 in one year)  was Apple computer co-founder/Dancing with the Stars contestant Steve Wozniak.
