Thursday a federal judge in Minneapolis ordered Jammie Thomas-Rasset to pay $1.92 million for downloading 24 songs, about $80,000 per song. Meanwhile Air France is giving families of the Brazilian air crash advances of $24,000 each.

The jury was doing what the RIAA told them to do.

By the way, if you ever want to get out of jury duty, make sure you mention that you believe in the concept of a fully-informed jury as well as jury nullification.
