Angelina Jolie In DC for World Refugee Day
Though Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was undergoing surgery for a broken elbow and host Anderson Cooper had flight delays which kept him from attending, the ceremony marking World Refugee Day in Washington DC was still a success. The audience gave standing ovations ot the refugee speakers who shared their stories. Angelina Jolie, who with her partner Brad Pitt, yesterday donated $1 million to refugee aid in Pakistan, said:
Most of all they are survivors … They are the most impressive people I have ever met.
Jolie, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador, has made this PSA to remind us all that millions are suffering the ravages of war.
