Eminem and Kimmel Give Autoworkers a Boost
Detroit’s own golden boy Eminem and talks how host Jimmy Kimmel are flying 200 unemployed Detroit members of the UAW to Los Angeles to watch the rapper perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the rapper will also perform a top secret in Detroit for the workers and their guests. The Kimmel show airs Friday. Eminem told the Free Press through his publicist:
In all the media coverage Detroit is getting, everyone forgets about the people that have lost their jobs without getting big cash payouts after dedicating themselves to the auto industry. Jimmy Kimmel and I got to talking, and we wanted to remind everyone that there are real people affected by what’s going on in Detroit, and try to show some of them a good time while we’re at it.
Eminem’s first record in four years, Relapse, comes out Tuesday, May 22.
