I was at a mother-daughter tea yesterday with mom and sissy at church. One of the younger guys, who has a great voice, sang a bunch of Beatle’s love songs. It was real nice.

My friends who have kids like them to have a sense of perspective and reality, and dont want them to grow up spoiled. I mena I guess if you make millions you have a different view point, but none of the moms I know woud spend $300 on nursery sheets

We dipped below freezing tonight, and it was a cool, wet, windy weekend. But last week was great and we’ll be back in warm temps by Tuesday.

wow, that’s some serious weather!

I know many who cannot have kids of their own and they are so wonderful that they share their love with other kids. I think that’s the sign of a truly wonderful mother – one who loves all kids as her own.

It happens every year in Toronto … we get a last weekend of freezing temp. And every year, I warn my neighbors who jump the gun and plant their tenderlings, only to have to uproot them and plant new ones.

Here we have to plant quickily because of the evil yellow hurty thing (sun)

To be honest, every year I get more weary of the darn snow. I have this fantasy that after my Book gets published, I’ll be able to live 6 months in Cali and 6 months in Toronto, avoiding the worst heat and frigid cold.

up here, now that it is mothers day, it is considered safe to plant and put tender plants outside.

I ma putting in more natives for the butterflies, birds and bees–plus they are bettr at water conservation. Tough I called our Dept of water and Power to check my usage– already I am using 50% less than my allotment–they were stunned.
