WWJT: ZOMG Y Hv U 4skn Me?

2852926976_d6eccfcea2.thumbnail.jpgWhat would Jesus tweet? Trinity Church on Wall Street is delivering a three hour twitter feed of the Passion Play, plus online Stations of the Cross–it’s a contemporary recreation of Christ’s last hours on earth. w00t!

via @_Peter_of_: is waiting in the courtyard of the High Priest Caiaphas. I ran scared when the officers came but I need to see how this ends

SPOILER ALERT: He rolls away the stone and there are 2,000 more years of war.

In response to Sufilizard @ 7

True enough, but it does seem like the cross is the new easy target.

Hey, Lisa, here’s a flash:

Tell me what you believe in so I can mock it.
Stick with wingnuts, Lisa. They’re something we can all mock.

Actually, I think that Lisa’s post was in the same lighthearted spirit as the concept of a Twittered Passion Play.

Trinity Wall Street is an Episcopal Church, and before you continue with self-congratulatory smugness the gay bishop who gave the invocation at the “We Are One” concert on the Sunday just prior to the Prez’s inauguration is an Episcopalian.

+Desmond Tutu is also an Anglican (the world-wide communion of which the Episcopal Church is part of).

Actually, I think that Lisa’s post was in the same lighthearted spirit as the concept of a Twittered Passion Play.

Perhaps, but it is Good Friday, in which a certain sacrifice continues to bring hope to a lot of us who believe that the universe – matter – could not have come from nothing, and who need more than ourselves and “things” to make sense of it all.

mikeg | Friday April 10, 2009 12:48 pm 18

marc… i don’t think lisa “believes” your superstitions

Spoiler alert was meant to point out how teh Prince of Peace has been misused by nutjobs…not his fault.

Badger3k | Friday April 10, 2009 05:37 pm 21

So, which Passion play do they do? Which Gospel’s version? Do they include all the Mel Gibson-esque sado-masochism?

Is Mark Foley doing the twittering?

Inquiring minds want to know.
