Sarah Palin–well, okay, her family rep–offered this response to Levi Johnston’s upcoming appearance Monday on The Tyra Banks Show where he discusses his relationship with Bristol Palin:

Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We’re disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship. 

Fame, attention, fortune? Sarah, pot kettle. Flat out lies, gross exaggeration? I am gobsmacked by the mirror you use, cuz um you’ve done some of that too. Alfalfa Club dinner for starters? Or that Levi and Bristol were both going to school full time when they weren’t?

Bristol’s focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence. It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child.

Bristol Palin had this to say about abstinence: It’s not realistic at all. Exploit his relationship? For what?  He talked to the Associated Press twice in October and again earlier this year. How is going on The Tyra Banks show going to get him anywhere in life? Though oddly Sarah, your and Bristol’s interviews with Greta van Susteren have gotten you a PAC, courtesy of Greta’s husband Joe Coale. 

Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions.

 Bristol and Levi both made mistakes. Like practicing safe sex "most of the time." But Sarah Palin also allowed the teens to live together under her roof. What did she think would happen? Season 1 of the classic aspirational teen drama Beverly Hills 90210 is pretty clear about that!
