Mariah Carey Hissy Fit Over Inaug Seating–Hey She Coulda had a Purple Ticket…

00mariahcarey20.thumbnail.jpgAs people were trying to get seated at the Inaugural swearing-in dealing with the crowds, the lack of information, gates being slammed in their faces and too many puffy winter coats, Mariah Carey was spotted by a figgy friend "unprotected in the throng"  (Ben Vereen was there too, and very nice, says my source).

But Mariah–who had VIP seats with Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, and Alicia Keys and later performed at the Neighborhood Ball with Blige–wasn’t happy with her choice location. A source tells Page Six:

But somehow she thought she’d be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn’t, she bailed.

Just amazing. She had a chair and everything, up close, and she bailed?

I must admit, I was not invited up with the family either and that’s why I bailed as well

Upset The Setup said it best
No celebrity tantrums – it’s DC, we have our own A list.

I didn’t even show up, I was so offended by my seating.
Of course my seating was next to my mother and father in upstate NY. I wanted to watch it with them because they are both survivor’s of WWII and Hilter’s Concentration Camp’s (even though we’re not Jewish).
Actually, I had an invite with a decent seat and a ticket to a ball that night. I just wanted to watch the great event at home with my folks.
I’ll always remember that day.

I really don’t care if Mariah holds her breath but why would she think she would be with the Obamas? That’s nuts.

lokywoky | Saturday January 24, 2009 05:29 pm 8

From what I saw the Obama family’s seats weren’t all that terrific. Michelle was on a folding chair in the aisle, and the girls were crammed in there behind a bunch of old white men. Not exactly prime seating either.

So how did Mariah get to thinkin’ that she was all that?

I could think of a few dozen dozen dozen other people who were more important than she (thinks she) is.

Ha!

FDL, shame on you.

This is exactly the kind of ’story’ that you should avoid. Are we FDL, or TMZ over here?

Lets get back to real stories worth our time.

Is that the chick who can screech through 5 octaves without evoking any emotion other than annoyance?
Why is she here?
Why is she anywhere?

Total garbage post. The person that put it up should be docked.

Stop pissing and moaning.
The world isn’t composed of only the stuff you want to talk about.
If you don’t want to see a tv program, don’t watch it.
If you don’t want to read a post, move along.

How hard is that?

Thanks, Lisa.
