It’s an Historic Moment! And a Marketing Hook!

posen.thumbnail.jpgThe PIC has announced a new line of Inaug merch, the Runway for Change Inaugural Collection created by top designers, and like all the Inaug merch, it’s union made in the USofA.

There are two totes bags, one designed by Diane von Furstenburg, the other by Tory Burch, a scarf by Alexander Wang and a collecetion of tees from Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez, Donna Karan, Beyonce, Derek Lam, Rachel Roy, Juicy Couture and Gerald Matthews, per the press release from the PIC.

Drat! Not all the goods are up yet on the site. Beyonce and Juicy Couture, the two I really wanted see are MIA, but here’s a quick review:

Donna Karan is unisex, black organic cotton. Zac Posen’s sheer burn-out tee features a silkscreened bow at the neck –no two are alike because of the fabric.  The one-of-a-kind, burn-out theme continues with Narcisco Rodriguez’s white ladies tee with stars and strips. Gerald Matthews design features heaps if crystals (you have to have at least one bedazzaling design; it’s a national event without rhinestones), while Derek Lam opts for Op-Art, and Rachel Roy and House of Dereon go graphic.
