Ann Coulter: She Can Dish It Out But She Can’t Take It

Wow, Ann Coulter is getting it from all fronts, first Bill O’Reilly, then the Early  Show and Today.  And now she appears with ladies of The View, who are little upset over her take on single moms, and Coulter comes off crazy yet again. Even Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd, who are usually pretty goofy look sane and grounded compared to the flustered, frustrated Coulter who insults Whoopi’s age and gets snotty with Barbara, prompting Sherri to say she didn’t appreciate the way Ann was speaking to Barbara.

Oh, and Coulter says single motherhood and illegitimacy are

a specific plan by the left.

Someone needs to tell Coulter it’s time to take off the tin foil hat and get  some hair styling, she’s no Paris Hilton and her blond mane looks more silly than silky.  And once again she brings out the complicated theory the victims are really victimizing others, and the real victims aren’t the victims but are victimized by the victims who aren’t really victims but perpetrators.  Pass the laudanum. To her. Bottom line, what Whoopi sez:

You can dish it out, but you can’t take it.

And while we’re on the subject of the faux-coltish Coulter, here some some high points of her interview with FishbowlDC:

What word do you routinely misspell? The word "mis-spel"

What’s the name of your cell phone ring? Wagner’s Entire Ring Cycle….

What’s your favorite letter? Paul to the Corinthians.

What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? Pinch Sulzberger.

When’s the last time you volunteered? Where? This interview. It’s been a life-changing experience, by the way.

She is just so forced, trying so hard, and failing so badly. She’s canned and hackneyed. And sadly, she reminds me of Kim Novak at the end of Jeanne Eagels: After climbing to the heights, she’ll end up back in the carnival, dancing between the trained seals–or in this case doing her stand up  schtick at Young Republicans’ dinner dances on the rubber chicken circuit.

Poor Ann. No one with a brain likes her.

Paul’s letter to the Corinthians? Really, Ann — are you sure about that?

Ahem.

A reading from Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians:

If I speak in the tongues of mortals and angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. . . Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.

I’m guessing Ann never got as far as chapter 13.

Oh I think Ann’s addicted to hating and being hated. And to be a self-created victim of her own fear and narrowed minded thinking.

I used to think that she would die rich and torn to shreds from the soul to the mind. But Schlaffly seems pretty happy with herself, so I don’t know anymore.
